Transmission Test Systems - Automotive

A Reuland AC motor controlled by a VFD is connected to the transmission, (removing the need for the engine). Inside a Test Cell the transmission can be put through various tests. Using a computer & PLC to send signals to the VFD, the operator can control the AC motor. Using multiple input signals, the operator can run the transmission through selected scenarios and receive feedback from sensors providing real time data collection.

Noise & Vibration Systems - Automotive

A Reuland oil-cooled AC motor is set up inside an acoustic Test Cell and the Transmission is coupled to the AC motor. The oil-cooling allows the motor to run at very low db levels. The transmission can be put through various tests where the db level can be recorded. Additionally the vibration levels of the transmission can be recorded providing real time data collection.

Engine Simulation - Automotive

Reuland’s AC dyno motors are designed to simulate the signature of a combustion engine. Using a computer & PLC to send signals to the VFD, the operator can control the AC motor causing it to replicate the combustion engine. Transmissions and other equipment can be coupled to the AC motor and then be put through their testing cycles providing real time data collection. Using the AC motor to replace the combustion engine removes the noise, exhaust, fuel and oil needs the engine requires.

Aircraft Turbine Starter - Aerospace

After the Starter/Generator is rebuilt, the MRO must then put it through a run test to insure it is operating as required. A high speed Reuland AC motor is coupled to the Starter/generator on the test stand. The AC motor is controlled by a computer through a PLC and VFD. The operator runs the Starter/Generator through its test cycles and data acquisition equipment collects data in real time.

Fuel Pump Dynos - Aerospace

After the fuel pump is rebuilt, the MRO must then put it through a run test to insure it is operating as required. A high speed Reuland AC motor is coupled to the fuel pump on the test stand. The AC motor is controlled by a computer through a PLC and VFD. The operator runs the fuel pump through its test cycles and data acquisition equipment collects data in real time.
