HAZARDOUS DUTY MOTORS

Reuland's Hazardous Duty motors are built for use in hazardous locations categorized as Class I & II, Division II. Division II locations consist of environments where flammable liquids or gases could be unusually present. Among other features, our Hazardous Duty motors contain no spark-producing components or brushes, an explosion-proof terminal box, hermetically sealed normally closed thermal switches and a pressurized chamber design in which positive pressure is maintained by pumping clean air inside the motor to keep potentially flammable gases out.



Reuland's AC Synchronous Permanent Magnet motors are CSA certified for Class I Division 2 hazardous locations. Any of Reuland's motor products can be successfully adapted for the hazardous environment by employing our hazardous duty protections.
